  • Back again

Well, I feel I ought to be thoroughly ashamed of myself, not writing for the last few days especially as I only just started writing on here.. Utterly shameful you say... well hell, I'm back what more do you want?
Anyway, what have I been up to since I last wrote?... I went to Birmingham yesterday, to get a nice new mobile phone ( yes, I am one of those sad individuals who cannot manage unless they have the newest and shiniest models on the block)....Whats that you say? Pathetic? You're just jealous I reckon. No? Well you ought to be. Oh I guess you would like to know which new and shiny model I got... A nice new Nokia N70, I even managed to squueze a top blue tooth headset, and an additional 128mb mmc card out of them too. I thought It was a good deal personally.
When we were in Birmingham, we went into Borders the bookshop, Des Lynam was thre doing a abook signing, so my other half decided to go and have a gawp at him, as he was going I thought I may as well follow him.
Well, I felt sorry for poor old Des when we saw him, despite being well advertised outside the store, and also having been there for at least half an hour already by the time we got there, NO ONE was there to have their book signed, not one single person. Poor bugger, probably wondering why the hell he,d even bothered to go.

    des lynam

    Never mind.
Oh yes, its my week off this week,so , I have been doing absolutely bugger all. Just thought you might like to know that. Will probably be going off to Gloucester on Thursday, to look at the special sale at Debenhams. I really need to get some Christmas shopping done too.:**:

  • Day three

What a lovely day today has been. All sunny and nice and warm too. Didn't get to go to Abergavenny though ( woke up too late :`( ) never mind eh.
Anyway, went to Hereford instead. Looked around the shops , there was a bit of a French and German market in the center today, made it all a bit more interesting I suppose.
Other than that, nothing much else happened.
Went back into Hereford this evening to Tescos to get the new Most Haunted box set ( sad or what?) .Anyhow, thought that we had better go, as the River Wye was avout to flood out across the road at Belmont roundabout, and we might not have been able to get into that Tescos for days ( wrong side of the river ).
Also decided to take a few pics on the mobile of the floods in town..

The Left Bank about to get swamped

Pub on river ( or also read pub in the river)

Sorry about the quality mobiles arent the best at taking pictures are they?

Well here we are on day two . Wow.
Now all I have to do is try and find something interesting to write about, ....... Three hours later........
No only joking. My day hasn't exactly been filled with excitement, but I can tell you something about work today .
My day began at quarter to seven this morning. God, I hate getting up, did all the usual morning things, teeth, shower, coffee, breakfast etc, then off to work at twenty to eight.
Had only been on the road for about five minutes, when I saw blue flashing lights ahead of me...What's going on I thought, soon saw what had happened, some berk had decided to pull out in front of another car at the junction,, hey presto, two knackered cars and an awful lot of held up traffic, but there you go , thats what comes of rushing.
10:30, BREAK TIME .......BRING ON THE TWIX......
    Oooh thats better.
The weather hasn't been too bad so far today, bit windy perhaps but nothing too serious.
Hardly any customers in today....Where is everyone?????
Getting a bit boring at work now, theres only so much dusting and polishing a person can do, so I decided to sit down with a good book ( Terry Pratchett. Going Postal ), it's a very good book so far anyway, but then he's a very good author.
Here comes lunchtime.. Cheese and tomato roll.. Lovely.
Have now decided to take picture or two on my phone to give an idea of what its like at work.

    a view from my desk

pretty dull eh, but beats working in town.
My God, the rain!!!!! It's pissing down so heavily I've never seen anything like it

This picture just doesnt do it justice you had to see it to believe it.
Paddy is here now. Hes a 65 year old cantankerous old git ( well , maybe not quite that bad). I dont quite know why, but every afternoon, at about half past two he just turns up, sits down and starts chatting away about nothing in particular, as for why he keeps turning up I have yet to fathom that one out.

Anyway he had a good old moan over life , the government and such like , generally put the world to rights.
His mate then turned up, it's getting like a circus in here now

WAYHEY I'VE GOT CUSTOMERS. Heres a picture to prove it...

The boss at work decided they wanted to bring a little Christmas cheer into the shop, you would not believe the number of complaints that I get from cusstomers over it being too early etc, it's not my fault, I cant help it , so plese.... stop moaning about them.
I took a picture in black and white of them, so you get the general idea without being blinded by the gaudyness of it all.

7:00PM HOMETIME, not a minute too soon either, hell I'm knackered.
Tea what shall I have.. Left over casserole from yesterday.
    Lovely.
Almost bed time now. Tomorrow I'm off to Abergavenny for the day . See you there...

    Hello there.
This is my first blog, and as such, I'm not entirely certain how to go about it but, I will give it my best shot.
If you are wondering why I've called it Twix and a Diet Coke, well that's my favourite snack ( whenever I get the chance to stop and have one, that is).
OK ,so now you know why I've called it that, I suppose you want to know who I am etc, well, here goes.
I'm 29 years old at present, soon to be 30 though (aaarrgh).I live and work in Herefordshire, Englands most beautiful and unspoilt county, ( dont argue, you know I'm right). I live with my other half Mark ( thoroughly gorgeous bloke, and lovely to boot)
    my other half

Now you know what he looks like, I bet you're wondering what I look like aren't you? (Well ...aren't you??????) Anyway I intend to keep an air of mystery about myself, and, for the time being, You'll all have to keep wondering.
Right , back to the story.........
I work for a coach company a few miles outside of Hereford itself, mostly just doing menial shop duties..., but helping out wherever, and whenever the need arises.
I enjoy my work, most of the time, except when I get the occaisional Customer From Hell ( CFH ), really I dont know what on earth these people have to be so bloody miserable or angry about. The other day I had one , I was just checking the signature on his card, and the next thing I knew he was accusing me of stealing it???? What the hell I thought? He then Began screaming and shouting to anyone who would listen that he was going to get the police on me ( bear in mind, that at this point, I had checked his signature, and was holding his card out for him to take back). Anyhow he decided that his audience, as it was in the shop wasn't giving him the support he needed, and ran outside to start accosting the poor unsuspecting people outside, filling up their cars ( or at least trying to , given the interruption ).
Anyway he eventually gave up his ranting ( I think he just knackered himself out )and left.
I'd better go for now, I have to make a casserole now for the other halfs tea. TTFN
